About the 25th Anniversary Set
The Mint released the set on October 27, 2011, to mark 25 years of the Silver Eagle program. All 100,000 sets sold out within hours on the first day. Each set held five coins: the 2011-W Proof, the 2011-P Reverse Proof, the 2011-W Burnished, the 2011-S Burnished, and this bullion-finish 2011 coin. Because PCGS identifies the coin as coming from the set, its label sets it apart from the more than 40 million regular 2011 bullion Silver Eagles.
Why It Stands Out
It comes from one of the most popular modern Silver Eagle sets, with a mintage of only 100,000.
First Strike designation, perfect MS70 grade, and a hand-signed Mercanti label.
